10-Q

For 10-Q we have a term and definition in Finance.

10-Q (Finance)

Quarterly filing made by public companies with the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission). Provides income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement and related footnotes for the quarter, together with management’s discussion and analysis of these results.

The first 10-Q of the year (e.g. March 31 for a calendar year reporting company) is straightforward. It includes a three month income statement and cash flow statement. Subsequent quarters not only include results for the quarter (3 months) but also for the year to date. Be careful when deciding which schedule to focus on!

The 10-Q is filed no more than 45 days after the end of the quarter. The SEC archive can be accessed at
