For example, acculturation is the process by which a recent immigrant learns the way of life of the new country. Library services and materials facilitate this process.


Acculturation (Political)

The process by which people adapt to or adopt a culture that is not their own.


Acculturation (Sex)

The process of adapting to a society by incorporating the beliefs, behaviors and customs of that culture.
