Adenine (Anthromorphemics)

A purine found in DNA and RNA.

Adenine (Anthropology)

A purine found in DNA and RNA.

Adenine (Bioinformatics)

A purine base found in DNA and RNA

Adenine (Genetics)

One of the four bases that make up the letters ATGC in DNA. Adenine ("A") always pairs with thymine ("T").

Adenine (Genetics and Genealogy)

One of the four bases which are the nucleotides in DNA that are represented by the letters A, T, C, and G. Adenine is the “A”. The others are Thymine, Guanine, and Cytosine. When these bases form the base pairs which are the rungs of the DNA ladder, Adenine always pairs with Thymine and Guanine always pairs with Cytosine. See Base Pair.

Adenine (HIV and AIDs)

One of the four bases of RNA (which also includes CYTOSINE, GUANINE and URACIL) and DNA (which also includes cytosine, guanine and THYMINE).

Adenine (Hepatitis C)

A white, crystalline derivative; one of the four basic nucleotides that comprise DNA.

Adenine (Huntingtons Disease)

One of the four nitrogenous bases found in DNA; pairs with the base thymine; often abbreviated as the letter "A"; see Figure B-3.

Adenine (Science)
