Adjuvant Chemotherapy

Adjuvant Chemotherapy (Bladder Cancer)

Chemotherapy given to patients after their cancers have been surgically removed. It is a secondary treatment given to supplement surgical treatment. (see Neoadjuvant chemotherapy)


Adjuvant Chemotherapy (Breast Cancer)

The use of anticancer drugs after surgery to prevent a recurrence of cancer. Adjuvant chemotherapy is commonly given to breast cancer patients who have positive lymph nodes.


Adjuvant Chemotherapy (Cancer)

Chemotherapy treatment that is given as an "add-on" to their primary cancer treatment, as in surgery or radiation therapy.
