Adult Day Care

Adult Day Care (Employee Benefits)

Day care facilities designed for adults who need supervision or assistance with activities of daily living.


Adult Day Care (Health Care)

A program of social and health-related services provided during the day in a community group setting. The purpose of the program is to support frail or impaired elderly, or other disabled adults who can benefit from care in a group setting outside the home.


Adult Day Care (Long Term Care Insurance)

Care inside or outside the home provided for adults who require assistance with the activities of daily living or other largely non-medical supervision. But possibly including minimal medical-related services such as supervising the taking of medicine. Often includes social and recreational programs and, sometimes, occupational and physical therapy. Primarily intended for care during the hours that family members or other informal caregivers are at work, rather than care on a 24-hour basis.


Adult Day Care (Senior Housing)

Daily structured programs in a community setting with activities and health-related and rehabilitation services to elderly who are physically or emotionally disabled and need a protective environment. This care is provided for during the day, the individual returning home for the evening.
