Advisory

Advisory (Environment)

A non-regulatory document that communicates risk information to those who may have to make risk management decisions.


Advisory (Hurricane)

Official information issued by tropical cyclone warning centers describing all tropical cyclone watches and warnings in effect along with details concerning tropical cyclone locations, intensity and movement, and precautions that should be taken. Advisories are also issued to describe: (a) tropical cyclones prior to issuance of watches and warnings and (b) subtropical cyclones.


Advisory (Meteorological)

Advisory (Weather)

Statements that are issued by the National Weather Service for probable weather situations of inconvenience that do not carry the danger of warning criteria, but, if not observed, could lead to hazardous situations.
