Age Group (Swimming)
The division of swimmers according to age usually in two-year bands. In USA Swimming swimmers compete within their respective age groups usually in the following manner: 10&Younger 11-12 13-14 15-16 and 17-18. Most meets combine the two older age groups into one 15-18 age group. A swimmerÂ’s age at a meet is determined by the first day of the competition.
