The level of pollutants prescribed by regulations that are not be exceeded during a given time in a defined area.


Air Quality Standards (Real Estate)

The level of selected pollutants set by law that may not be exceeded in outside air. Used to determine the amount of pollutants that may be emitted by industry


Air Quality Standards (Weather)

The maximum level which will be permitted for a given pollutant. Primary standards are to be sufficiently stringent to protect the public health. Secondary standards must protect the public welfare, including property and aesthetics.
