Angiogenesis (Cancer)

The process by which new blood vessels grow. Cancers can attract new blood vessels to grow towards them to supply them with oxygen and nutrients. Scientists are developing new cancer drugs that block this process in order to starve the tumour.

Angiogenesis (Clinical Trials)

Blood vessel formation. Tumor angiogenesis is the growth of blood vessels from surrounding tissue to a solid tumor. This is caused by the release of chemicals by the tumor.


Angiogenesis (HIV and AIDs)

The process of new blood vessel growth. Tumors and KAPOSI'S SARCOMA lesions stimulate angiogenesis to supply themselves with blood.

The formation of new blood vessels.
