Anti-oxidant (Anti-Aging)

A nutrient or chemical that reacts with and neutralizes oxidants, free radicals or chemicals that release free radicals. Antioxidants are also called free radical scavengers. Vitamins A, C, E and some of the B vitamins, beta-carotene, selenium and some key enzymes in your body are all antioxidants.


Anti-oxidant (Import Cars)

A substance that prevents or slow down oxidation of plastic material that is exposed to air and the elements.


Anti-oxidant (Natural Gas)

A compounding ingredient added to a plastic composition to retard possible degradation from contact with oxygen (air), particularly in processing at, or exposures to, high temperatures.


Anti-oxidant (Wire)

A substance which prevents or slows down oxygen decomposition of a material.
