The presence of an infection without symptoms. Also known as inapparent or subclinical infection.


Asymptomatic Infection (Sexually Transmitted Diseases)

A state in which the person is infected by a germ or virus but does not have any signs or symptoms. This could also refer to a CARRIER. A good example of someone with an ASYMPOTMATIC INFECTION would be a person who has herpes who is between outbreaks.
