Base Year Operating Expenses

For Base Year Operating Expenses we have a term and definition in Commercial Real Estate.



Base Year Operating Expenses (Commercial Real Estate)

The cost the owner is paying to cover the cost of operating the building in a given year. i.e. Base Year 1995 expenses would reflect the cost to operate the subject building in 1995. In subsequent years you would pay the diffrence in the amount it costs to operate the building, based on the percentage of the building you occupy.
