A carpet or rug in which a raised pattern or engraved effect is formed using heavy twisted yarn tufts on a group of straight fibers. Brocade (Furniture)

Heavy, rich fabric woven with a raised pattern resembling embroidery. Used for upholstery and sometimes drapery.


Brocade (Interior Design)

Fabric, often silk, with raised patterns and floating yarns on the back of the fabric, imitating embroidery


Brocade (Pyrotechnics)

A spider-like shell burst pattern. Generally has silver tail effect, and is brighter than willow or tiger tail-style bursts.


Brocade (Textiles)

Usually a jacquard woven fabric in which the figure is developed by floating the warp threads, the weft threads, or both, and interlacing them in a more or less irregular order.
