(1) A structure of wood, stone or concrete erected along the shore of a water body to arrest wave action or along a steep embankment to control erosion. (2) A permanent or movable wall closely fitting into and across a waterway and intended to hold back earth or water.


Bulkhead (Swimming)

A moveable turn wall or structure in 50-meter pools that allows the pool to be setup for Short Course (yards/meters).
