Canonical Correlation

For Canonical Correlation we have a term and definition in Ordination.

Canonical Correlation (Ordination)

Often confused with Canonical Correspondence Analysis. It is a technique which finds the linear combination of one set of variables which is maximally correlated with a linear combination of another set of variables. Canonical correlation is closely related to PCA. See Gittens (1987) for an ecological application.
