Capital Campaign (Charitable Donation)

A focused fundraising program of a charity. Capital campaigns usually include appeals for construction projects, new program initiatives or other specific needs of the organization. Funds donated to the campaign are often transferred to the charity’s endowment fund. Earnings from the endowment are used to carry out the expressed goals of the campaign.

An organized drive to raise substantial funds to finance major needs of an organization, including construction, renovations, or endowment.

An intensive, time-limited fundraising endeavor to meet a specific financial goal in order to fund a special project such as the construction of a facility or the acquisition of equipment.
