Carbon Adsorption (Environment)

A treatment system that removes contaminants from ground water or surface water by forcing it through tanks containing activated carbon treated to attract the contaminants.


Carbon Adsorption (Sanitation)

The use of either granular or powdered carbon to remove organic compounds from wastewater or effluent. Organic molecules in solution are drawn to the highly porous surface of the carbon by inter-molecular attraction forces.
