Catalog (Business Intelligence)

A component of a data dictionary that contains a directory of its DBMS objects as well as attributes of each object.

Catalog (Entertainment Industry)

All the songs owned by a music publisher considered as one collection.


Catalog (Import Cars)

An illustrated or ordered list of items and descriptions with sufficient data to identify the item.


Catalog (Research)

A database containing information about the materials owned by a library and their location. Most catalogs are now computerized, though a library may have all or part of its catalog on cards. Catalogs can usually be searched by author, title, subject heading, or keyword and provide a basic description of the item (book, journal title, video, or other) and a call number.

Catalog (Stamps)

Comprehensive compilation of postage stamps and revenue stamps, providing descriptions and, usually, values for the items, often including stamps priced on cover.
