Change Order

Change Order (Commercial Real Estate)

A document usually signed by the tenant when making a revision to the original buildout plans. It represents the tenantÂ’s authorization to revise and usually indicate the tenantÂ’s willingness to pay for the revision.


Change Order (Construction)

A written document which modifies the plans and specifications and/or the price of the construction Contract.


Change Order (Sanitation)

A written agreement or directive between contracted parties which represents an addition, deletion, or revision to the contract documents, identifies the change in price and time and describes the nature (scope) of the Work involved. Also known as Contract Modifications.


Change Order (Supply Chain)

A formal notification that a purchase order or shop order must be modified in some way. This change can result from a revised quantity, date, or specification by the customer; an engineering change; a change in inventory requirement data; etc.
