City (Charles Dickens)

Term referring to the old portion of London within the medieval city walls. Later became the financial district as Londoners moved to the suburbs and commuted.


City (Christian Cathedrals)

From the Latin civitas meaning citizen, a town or borough which is, or has been, an episcopal see. This definition is not strictly adhered to and there are many exceptions. Some cities are so called because of their industrial/municipal importance


City (Dream)

To dream that you are in a strange city, denotes you will have sorrowful occasion to change your abode or mode of living.
