Compilation (Accounting)

is the presentation of financial statement information by the entity without the accountantÂ’s assurance as to conformity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). In performing this accounting servicethe accountant must conform to the AICPA Statements on Standards for Accounting and Review Services (SSARS).


Compilation (Accounting Terms)

Presentation of financial statement data without the ACCOUNTANT'S assurance as to conformity with GENERALLY ACCEPTED ACCOUNTING PRINCIPLES (GAAP).


Compilation (Anti Piracy)

A collection of previously released songs sold as a one album unit, or a collection of new material, either by single or multiple performers, sold as a collaborative effort on one musical recording.


Compilation (Cartographic)

Preparation of a new or revised map or chart, or portion thereof, from existing maps, aerial photographs, field surveys, and other sources.


Compilation (Copyright)

A work, such as a book, file, document, or list, composed of materials gathering from other sources (books, files, documents, or lists). Since, by definition, a compilation is prepared from pre-existing materials, all that copyright will protect in a compilation is the selection and/or arrangement of the the materials, provided that the selection and arrangement is sufficiently original.


Compilation (Learning)

A learning process in which learners embed declarative knowledge in highly domain specific rules or productions.
