A residential multiunit building whose title is held by a trust or corporation that is owned by and operated for the benefit of persons living within the building, who are the beneficial owners of the trust or stockholders of the corporation, each possessing a proprietary lease.


Cooperative (Wind Energy)

A form of utility in which all users own shares. Cooperatives are common in rural areas that are expensive to serve because of the long distances between users. Frequently, the government contributes in various ways to rural cooperatives to reduce costs to individual owner/users.
