Critical Path (Business Process)

The series of interdependent activities of a project, connected end to end, which determines the shortest total length of the project. The critical path of a project may change from time to time as activities are completed ahead of or behind schedule.


Critical Path (Non-Profit Leadership)

In project management, the sequence of events with the longest duration. The duration of the critical path determines the duration of the entire project. Any delay of a terminal element on the critical path directly impacts the planned project completion date. See also:Project Management
