The topics are Business Intelligence, Cad, Clinical Trials, Computer Technology, Computing and Social Science, Direct Marketing, Graphics, Hardware, HIV and AIDs, Import Cars, Marketing, Non-Profit Accountability, Oceanography, Photography, Sanitation, Science And Religion, Statistics, Teacher Evaluation, Technology and XML.

Data (Business Intelligence)

Items representing facts, text, graphics, bit-mapped images, sound, analog or digital live-video segments. Data is the raw material of a system supplied by data producers and is used by information consumers to create information.

Data (Cad)

The representation of information in the form of NC Words, sysmbols,
numbers, letters, characters and/or digits.

Data (Clinical Trials)

This term is legally defined according to the institution. It generally refers to recorded information regardless of form. Most institutions hold title to data while researchers have rights to access the data.

Data (Computer Technology)

Information. Any series of bits, characters or objects that has meaning. Data is stored and transmitted by computers.

Data (Computing and Social Science)

Social science data are the raw material out of which social and economic statistics are produced. Social science data originate from social research methodologies or administrative records, while statistics are produced from data. Data are the information collected and stored at the level at which the unit of analysis was observed. Summaries of these data are usually statistics. Data must be processed to be of practical use. This compilation is accomplished with statistical software, which reads the raw data from a computer file.

Data (Direct Marketing)

A display of facts, concepts and instructions in a formal manner processed manually or automatically.

Data (Graphics, Hardware)

The general term for the work that we create with our computers and store on a disk.

Data (HIV and AIDs)

Information organized for analysis

Data (Import Cars)

Information specifically in digital format that is operated on by the micro possessor and produces an output.

Data (Marketing)

The collection of observations.

Data (Non-Profit Accountability)

Documented information or evidence of any kind. It can be factual information, such as text, numbers, sounds, and images that can be processed on a computer. It also represents concepts and sensations suitable for communication, interpretation, or processing. See also:Data Analysis, Data Collection Plan, Data Sources, Data Types, Found Data, Indicator

Data (Oceanography)

Facts, statistics or items of information such as scientific measurements.

Data (Photography)

Factual piece of information (as measurements or statistics) used as a basis for reasoning, discussion, or calculation. Information output by a sensing device or organ, it includes both useful and irrelevant or redundant pieces of information that must be processed to be meaningful in a decision making process. Information in numerical form that can be digitally transmitted and/or processed. "Don't confuse me with the data, give me information to make decisions".

Data (Sanitation)

Records of observations and measurements of physical facts, occurrences and conditions, reduced to written, graphical or tabular form.

Data (Science And Religion)

Facts and figures in which conclusions can be drawn.

Data (Statistics)

Numerical information about variables; the measurements or observations to be analyzed with statistical methods.

Data (Teacher Evaluation)

The information and evidence gathered during the assessment process for use in determining the level of teaching performance. See Evidence, Extant Data, Information.

Data (Technology)

Documented information or evidence of any kind. It can be factual information, such as text, numbers, sounds, and images that can be processed on a computer. It also represents concepts and sensations suitable for communication, interpretation, or processing. See also:Data Analysis, Data Collection Plan, Data Sources, Data Types, Found Data, Indicator

Data (XML)

The contents of an element, generally used when the element does not contain any subelements. When it does, the more general term content is generally used. When the only text in an XML structure is contained in simple elements, and elements that have subelements have little or no data mixed in, then that structure is often thought of as XML "data", as opposed to an XML document.
