Depth (Auto Body)

Depth (Coffee)

Depth describes the resonance or sensual power behind the sensations that drive the taste of the coffee. It is a tricky and subjective term, but it tries to get at the way certain coffees open up and support their sensations with a sort of ringing, echoing power, whereas others simply present themselves to the palate and then stand pat or even fade.

Depth (Hunting)

A vertical measurement, most often employed for the maximum height of the body excluding the fins; also refers to the distance below the sea surface in which the fish lives; also the vertical distance from a specified sea level to the sea floor.

The distance from the baseline of the box to the bottom edge of the box.

Measurement of a form around the printing cylinder. When quoting form sizes, always quote in depth first i.e. 11" x 15.5" [11" is the depth]

A defensive methodology in which two or more players support each other and form successive "layers" through which an attack must penetrate
