Dew Point

For Dew Point we have terms and definitions in 12 topics. The topics are Air Quality, Boiler, Carpet, Earth Science, Green Energy, Hydrology, Paint, Physical Geography, Plumbing, Roofing, Satellite Meteorology and Weather.

Dew Point (Air Quality)

The temperature at which droplets of water condense from air (dependent on the prevailing humidity)

Dew Point (Boiler)

The temperature at which condensation starts.

Dew Point (Carpet)

The temperature at which humidity in air reaches saturation (100% rh) and will condense from that air to form dew on surfaces. Fog forms in air when temperature and dew point are within 2 degrees f, plus or minus, of each other.

Dew Point (Earth Science)

The temperature (elevation) where adiabatic cooling results in the initiation of condensation of water vapor into cloud droplets.

Dew Point (Green Energy)

The point at which the moisture in the air condenses because the air is saturated with water vapor.

Dew Point (Hydrology)

The temperature to which a parcel of air must be cooled to produce condensation.

Dew Point (Paint)

The temperature at which water vapor in the air begins to condense.

Dew Point (Physical Geography)

Dew point is the temperature at which water vapor saturates from an air mass into liquid or solid usually forming rain, snow, frost or dew. Dew point normally occurs when a mass of air has a relative humidity of 100 %. If the dew point is below freezing, it is referred to as the frost point.

Dew Point (Plumbing)

Temperature at which water vapor condenses to a liquid

See more Plumbing Terms ...

Dew Point (Roofing)

The critical temperature at which vapor condenses from the atmosphere and forms water.

See more Roofing Terms ...

Dew Point (Satellite Meteorology)

(or dew point temperature)The temperature to which air must be cooled at constant pressure and constant water vapor content to become saturated.

Dew Point (Weather)

The temperature to which air must be cooled at a constant pressure to become saturated. View Current Dew Point at MNSU
