Direct Current (DC)

For Direct Current (DC) we have terms and definitions in 8 topics. The topics are Electric Power, Energy, Import Cars, MRI, Solar Energy, Transistors, UPS and Uk Power.

Direct Current (Dc) (Electric Power)

Electric current in which electrons flow in one direction only. Opposite of alternating current.

Direct Current (Dc) (Energy)

Electricity that flows continuously in the same direction.

Direct Current (Dc) (Import Cars)

1.Current flow in one direction only such as the current produced by a battery.

Direct Current (Dc) (MRI)

A continuous current that flows in only one direction.

Direct Current (Dc) (Solar Energy)

A type of electricity transmission and distribution by which electricity flows in one direction through the conductor, usually relatively low voltage and high current. To be used for typical 120 volt or 220 volt household appliances, DC must be converted to alternating current, its opposite.

Direct Current (Dc) (Transistors)

Current which moves in a single direction in a steady flow. Normal household electricity is alternating current (AC) which repeatedly reverses its direction. However, many electronics devices require DC, and therefore must convert the current into DC before using it. Diodes are used to convert AC to DC.

Direct Current (Dc) (UPS)

A type of current which never reverses its direction. Since the current flows in only one direct on, the average value of the current cannot be zero unless the current has stopped flowing.

Direct Current (Dc) (Uk Power)

An electricity current that flows in one direction with a magnitude that does not vary or that varies only slightly
