Diverticulosis (Cancer)

A condition marked by small sacs or pouches (diverticula) in the walls of an organ such as the stomach or colon. These sacs can become inflamed and cause a condition called diverticulitis, which may be a risk factor for certain types of cancer.

Diverticulosis (Colon Cancer)

A condition of the bowel in which abnormal pockets form on the inner wall of the colon. These pockets are frequently inflamed or infected, causing intestinal discomfort and pain.


Diverticulosis (Colorectal Surgery)

Pockets located in the colon that are not infected.


Diverticulosis (Colorectal and Pelvic Floor Diso)

Outpouches of the colon wall. Diverticula may bleed, or become blocked and inflamed resulting in diverticulosis.


Diverticulosis (Health)

Condition that occurs when small pouches (diverticula) push outward through weak spots in the colon.

Diverticulosis (Naturopathic)

Having congenital pouches of the type found in many organs, particularly the colon, that are benign, but, being little cul-de-sacs, are likely to become inflamed from time to time. Diverticulitis is the term for inflamed diverticula.


Diverticulosis (Science)

Disorder of the colon due to a weakening of the muscle lining where the inner wall of the colon develops pouches which may later become inflamed
