(1) The separation of suspended particles, or oil and grease, from solution by naturally or artificially raising them to the surface, usually with air. (2) Thickening of waste activated sludge by injecting water supersaturated with air into a tank where the released air buoys the sludge or oil to the surface.

Float in tanks filled with sterile salt water regulated so that its temperature is precisely the same as your body temperature for a sense of buoyancy and weightlessness. You float in complete sensory isolation so that no nerve impulses move from the skin to the brain for a unique feeling of relaxation. Can be used in complete silence, music or guided imagery.

Flotation (Tires)

Ability to float generally referring to large low pressure tires. (The ability of a tire, to pass over soft surfaces without sinking in.)
