The topics are Anthromorphemics, Anthropology, Biomediation, Biotechnology, Botanical, Environment, Evolution, Factory Farms, Genetics, Genetics and Food, Genome, HIV and AIDs, Medical, Microbiology, Pests, Pituitary, Science, Science And Religion and Sociology.

Genetic Engineering (Anthromorphemics)

The artificial manipulation of the genetic material to create specific characteristics in individuals.

Genetic Engineering (Anthropology)

The artificial manipulation of the genetic material to create specific characteristics in individuals.

Genetic Engineering (Biomediation)

The application of engineering technology to the isolation and study of single genes, and the reintroduction of these genes into cells of the same or different species.

Genetic Engineering (Biotechnology)

The manipulation of genes, composed of DNA, to create heritable changes in biological organisms and products that are useful to people, living things, or the environment.

Genetic Engineering (Botanical)

Genetic engineering involves laboratory techniques to change the DNA of living organisms. See this great explanation at the Mother's for Natural Law Web site.

Genetic Engineering (Environment)

A process of inserting new genetic information into existing cells in order to modify a specific organism for the purpose of changing one of its characteristics.

Genetic Engineering (Evolution)

Removing genes from the DNA of one species and splicing them into the DNA of another species using the techniques of molecular biology.

Genetic Engineering (Factory Farms)

The science of changing the DNA of a plant or animal to produce desirable characteristics. Examples of desirable characteristics include fast growth and unusually large size. This is a very controversial science that many believe has not been adequately tested and studied. In addition, not everyone agrees that the plants and animals that are genetically engineered are safe for humans to eat or safe for the environment if released.

Genetic Engineering (Genetics)

The technology used to genetically manipulate living cells to produce new chemicals or perform new functions.

Genetic Engineering (Genetics and Food)

The deliberate modification of the characteristics of an organism by manipulating its genetic material (DNA/genes).The techniques used to transfer genes from one organism to another or to change genetic material within an organism.

Genetic Engineering (Genome)

Altering the genetic material of cells or organisms to enable them to make new substances or perform new functions.

Genetic Engineering (HIV and AIDs)

New research techniques that manipulate the DNA (genetic material) of cells. The genesplicing technique, which produces recombinant DNA, is a method of transporting selected genes from one species to another. The genes, which are actually portions of molecules of DNA, are removed from the donor (insect, plant, mammal, or other organism) and spliced into the genetic material of a virus; the virus is then allowed to infect recipient bacteria. In this way the bacteria become recipients of both viral and foreign genetic material. When the virus replicates within the bacteria, large quantities of the foreign as well as viral material are made.

Genetic Engineering (Medical)

The alteration of genetic information to change an organism; mainly used to produce vaccines and drugs such as insulin

Genetic Engineering (Microbiology)

The use of in vitro techniques in the isolation, manipulation, recombination, and expression of DNA.

Genetic Engineering (Pests)

The manipulation of the genetic material of an organism in order to achieve desirable characteristics.

Genetic Engineering (Pituitary)

A laboratory technique sometimes used to identify a defective gene in an unborn child which may cause a particular disease.

Genetic Engineering (Science)

Altering an organism's genetic makeup by the transfer of genes

Genetic Engineering (Science And Religion)

Deliberate alteration of the genetic structure of organisms

Genetic Engineering (Sociology)

The genetic manipulation of organisms in an effort to produce desirable characteristics.
