Something that is passed on through generations genetically. The inheritance of a hereditary disease is dependent upon the genes received from one’s parents.

Hereditary (Prostate Cancer)

Inherited from one's parents and earlier generations


Hereditary (Sexually Transmitted Diseases)

A trait or characteristic that is genetically passed from either the mother or the father to a child. No STD is passed genetically from a parent to their children.


Hereditary (Topology)

A property of spaces is said to be hereditary if whenever a space has that property, then so does every subspace of it. For example, second-countability is a hereditary property.
