Lumbar (Fitness)

Lower region of you spine, vertebrates L1 to L5. Used for bending and extending the body forward and back, with the aid of the abdominal and erector spinae muscles.

1. Lower back region. 2. Of, relating to, or constituting the vertebrae between the thoracic vertebrae and the sacrum region. The sacrum is the triangular bone made up of five fused vertebrae and forming the posterior section of the pelvis. The thorax is the part of the human body between the neck and the diaphragm, partially encased by the ribs and containing the heart and lungs (ie, the chest).

Lumbar (Medical)

This is the lower back area, which is prone to pain, strains or stiffness.
