Majority Leader (Advocacy)

The Majority Leader is elected by his/her party colleagues. In the Senate, the Majority Leader, in collaboration with the Minority Leader, directs the legislation schedule for the chamber. Each is his/her party’s spokesperson and chief strategist. The leader of the majority party in either the House or the Senate.


Majority Leader (Legislative Assembly)

A legislator elected by his or her peers to lead the party having the majority in his or her house. The majority leader is responsible for the development and implementation of the caucus agenda.


Majority Leader (Politics)

Individual elected to lead a party in the House or Senate that holds the most seats in the body.
