A balance sheet, profit and loss or cash flow statement that estimates income and expense sources. Assets, liabilities and net worth are forecast on the balance sheet. Pro forma statements issued by the franchisor to the franchisee should be based on actual operating results of the franchisor"s units or franchise establishments.

A Latin term meaning "For the sake of form."


Pro Forma (Natural Gas)

Latin for "for the sake of form." Used to describe gas pipeline tariff sheets submitted as part of a certificate application or as part of a tariff filing. When made as part of a tariff filing, pro forma sheets do not contain a proposed effective date and are of no force or effect.
