The reconstruction of the landscape in which a mine operated in order to make it possible for the landscape to be once again safely used for other purposes

Reclamation (Ozone Protection)

Reprocessing and upgrading of a recovered controlled substance through such mechanisms as filtering, drying, distillation and chemical treatment in order to restore the substance to a specified standard of performance. Chemical analysis is required to determine that appropriate product specifications are met. It often involves processing off-site at a central facility.

This may be accomplished by various means such as irrigation of arid land, application of biosolids, drainage of swamp or waterlogged land, protection from flood menace of land constantly subject to overflow.
