Stem Cells (Biotechnology)

Self-newing cells that with proper growth conditions can be made to differentiate into a number of different cell types with specific biological functions.

Stem Cells (Breast Cancer)

Cells from which all blood cells derive. The bone marrow is rich in stem cells.

Stem Cells (Cancer)

The cells that all blood cells come from.

Stem Cells (HIV and AIDs)

Cells from which all blood cells derive. Bone marrow is rich in stem cells. Clones of stem cells may become any one of the repertoire of immune cells depending upon what cytokines and hormones they are exposed to.

Stem Cells (Hematology)

The blood cells that produce other blood cells. It is the stem cells that are needed in bone marrow transplantation.

Stem Cells (Huntingtons Disease)

Cells that have the ability to divide for an indefinite time and to give rise to specialized cells.

Stem Cells (Lymphoma)

The cells from which all blood cells develop from, such as the white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets.

Stem Cells (Medical)

Cells that give rise to the different types of blood cells

Stem Cells (Pathology)

The blood cells that produce other blood cells. It is the stem cells that are needed in bone marrow transplantation.

Stem Cells (Science)

Stem cells are relatively undifferentiated cells that can develop into different/any kind of cell in the human body. Most cells have a specific function eg. liver cells, skin cells, brain cells and so forth and once they have taken on this function, in a process called differentiation, they can't be adapted for any other function. Stem cells, however, have not gone through the differentiation process.

Stem Cells (Stem Cells)

Cells that have both the capacity to self-renew (make more stem cells by cell division) as well as to differentiate into mature, specialized cells.
