For Stent, or intracoronary artery stent we have a term and definition in Cardiovascular Health.

A small, latticed, stainless steel tube, comparable to the spring inside a ballpoint pen that holds the ink. Stents are attached to balloon catheters when they are inserted into a narrowed or blocked area of the coronary artery (a blood vessel that supplies oxygen and nutrient-rich blood to the heart). When the balloon is inflated, the stent expands and presses against the artery wall. The balloon is then deflated and taken out, while the stent remains in place permanently to improve blood flow to the heart muscle.
