A superset consists of performing two exercises in a row with no rest in between. For example, you would do a set of dumbbell flies, then immediately do a set of dumbbell or barbell bench presses. Super sets save time, increase intensity, and provide for a more aerobic type of weight training workout. However, super sets are not recommended if you are trying to build strength or power.
