A temporary suspension of consciousness due to generalized cerebral ischemia; a faint or swoon.

Syncope (Cardiovascular)

Temporary loss of consciousness due to reduced blood flow to the brain. A common symptom of cardiac arrhthymias.


Syncope (Medical)

Fainting. This can be caused by any condition causing lowered blood flow to the brain. Weakness, lightheadedness, dizziness or nausea may be felt prior to fainting. Medical advice should be sought about the cause.
