Task Force

Task Force (Advocacy)

A group within the structure of a coalition which does a particular job and brings their findings and recommendations back to the whole group for review. Task forces are based on issues, and are often short-term oriented and collaborative in nature. See also:Collaboration

Task Force (Legislative Assembly)

A legislative committee authorized by legislative leadership to study a specific subject for a specified period of time. A task force may contain lay members and is different from a committee in that it typically considers a narrow subject within a broader topic area: a task force would consider mental health in Oregon rather than health issues in Oregon.


Task Force (Non-Profit Governance)
