The force required to propagate a tear in a silicone which has been nicked or cut. Expressed in lbs./in. of width.


Tear Strength (Paper)

Resistance of paper to rupture. Measured in grams of force required to continue a cut or tear which has already been started. Equipment used for this test is an Elmdorf tester.
