Unitization (Energy)

When owners of oil and/or gas reserves pool their individual interests in return for an interest in the overall unit, which is then operated by a single company on behalf of the group, thus increasing efficiency and profitability.

Owners of adjoining properties pool reserves together to form a single producing unit in which each has an interest.

Loading one or more large items of Cargo onto A single piece of equipment, such as A pallet.


Unitization (Natural Gas)

Joint operation of several leases, usually for economic or conservation reasons. Frequently a whole pool or field is unitized to prevent unnecessary drilling and to conduct secondary recovery projects.A term used in connection with Continuing Property Record Unit. Unitization is the process of assigning work order costs to applicable property record units.


Unitization (Oil)

Process whereby owners of adjoining properties pool reserves into a single unit operated by one of the owners; production is divided among the owners according to the unitization agreement.
