You'd better know what this means. Interestingly enough, due to the extreme popularity of DVDs among serious anime fans, tapes are rapidly decreasing as a viable format for anime released in the US--several anime companies are now only releasing DVDs, and more are likely to follow.

Video Home System. The most popular system of videotape for home use. Developed by JCV.
